Going to Thailand has always been a dream of mine. That’s why a recent Fodor’s story, “Where to Find Luxury for Less in Thailand,” caught my eye. Just a few hours outside of the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, the country’s capital, the article says you can find unbelievable views and affordable beachfront resorts.
At the X2 Kui Buri Resort, for example, you can gaze out across the Gulf of Thailand all day long at a rate of $110 a night. Check out the view:
TripAdvisor gives the X2 a top rating, which means I’m just about ready to pack my bags. But first, I’ve got to find a good price on airfare. The best roundtrip rate I’m seeing for a September flight from Los Angeles to Bangkok is around $900. Not bad, but I’ll keep looking. In the meantime, I’ll be thinking about what it would be like to relax poolside at the very chic X2. It looks pretty cool, doesn’t it?
